Privacy Policy
SM Test (“the Service”) is designed to be used anonymously. This page explains what information is stored, why, and where.

What we do not store
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details
- IP addresses (they are not stored in the Service’s database)
- Accounts (the Service has no account system)
What we store
To run the test and to show and share results, we store the following on our servers:
- Your answers (which option on the 7-point scale you chose for each question, and how long each took)
- The calculated result (types, values for each axis, and so on) and the language it was shown in
- Whether you agreed to statistical use
- A device code (a random value created in your browser, transformed so it cannot be reversed; used so that retakes by the same person are not double-counted in statistics)
- Optional age band and gender (you can choose “prefer not to say”), and your rating of how well the result fits
This is stored in a form that does not identify you, and we never link it to your name or similar details.
What we keep in your browser (localStorage and cookies)
The Service keeps the following inside your browser. It is not sent to our servers except as described above, and it is never used for advertising or tracking.
- Display language (localStorage and the “persona-lang” cookie): so the site opens in the same language next time
- Age confirmation (localStorage “persona-age-ok”): so we do not ask whether you are 18 or over on every visit. Your actual age is not stored
- Progress through the test: so you can resume within 24 hours if you close the page
- What is needed to delete your result: so that only you can delete it
- A random device value: the source of the device code described above
Clearing this site’s data in your browser settings removes all of it. After that, you can no longer resume a test or delete a result from that browser.
Statistical use and consent
Only answers from people who choose “I agree to statistical use” on the start screen are used to calculate overall distributions and rarity. We publish aggregated figures only, never an individual’s answers or results as-is.
If you do not agree, the test, your result, and sharing all work the same.
How to delete
Use “Delete this result” on your result page at any time. Once deleted, the result page and any compatibility pages built from it stop being shown, and the result is left out of the next statistics update.
Deletion relies on information saved in the browser you took the test in. Because the Service has no way to verify who you are, a result cannot be deleted after that browser’s data is cleared or from another device.
Third-party services
The Service runs on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare, Inc. Cloudflare may briefly process connection information, such as IP addresses, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.
Text is shown with the fonts already on your device. We do not connect to any external font service.
We may later add Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookie-free measurement) to understand traffic. If we do, we will update this page.
Advertising and affiliate links
The Service may contain affiliate links (links for which the Service receives a referral fee if you buy or sign up for the product or service introduced). Affiliate links are marked “PR” so you can tell they are advertising. They never appear while you are answering.
Even when affiliate links are shown, we do not share your answers, results, or any other personal data with advertisers or affiliate networks. Once you follow a link, the destination site’s own privacy policy applies. Referral fees never influence your result or the type descriptions.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update the “last updated” date on this page. For significant changes, such as storing a new kind of information, we will announce them on the Service.

The Service is run by the SM Test Editorial Team. For questions about how your information is handled or about deleting a result, email the address below. You can always delete a result page yourself if you have its URL.
