A Whole Secret Account: When several axes differ between your public character and private desires
“A Whole Secret Account” is one of SM Personal Test's gap patterns between your Public face (the play style others see) and your Hidden face (the desire you feel). It describes what happens when several axes differ between your public character and private desires.
What is this pattern?
On two or more axes, your public and hidden faces point in opposite directions. In public you might be the sweet-voiced owner who edges someone over and over, while alone you fantasize about hanging in cold rope. Your public character and the you who fantasizes alone are that different, so partners keep discovering, "Wait, you're into that too?" The size of the gap is part of your appeal, and it shows a knack for rebuilding your play style to suit the moment and the partner.
Tips for living with it
Both faces are you. Rather than calling one of them fake, keep at least one person you can safely show your hidden face to; it makes the outer character much lighter to carry. Deciding "which me are we playing with tonight?" before you start works well too.
How it is detected
You fall into this pattern when two or more axes switch direction between public and hidden faces. An axis only counts as switched when the directions differ and the estimated probability that they truly differ is 75% or higher.
